While ATP have their Race to Turin, WTA have their race to... not yet announced despite it being held in just over two months time and Ons Jabeur is one of those who are puzzled about the lack of announcements and clarity surrounding the WTA Finals.

In 2022, it was held in Fort Worth, Texas with Caroline Garcia scooping the trophy in the biggest win of her career. But this was only due to Shenzhen not being used due to the ongoing Peng Shuai situation.

That was technically resolved with their boycott ending, but no word yet on the season ender.

Jabeur herself made history as the first Arab player to be involved in the WTA Finals and even admitted that she has heard a few rumours including Saudi Arabia despite only the ATP Next Gen Finals currently taking place there as of time of writing.

But it is more for her a matter of selling tickets instead of having half empty stadiums.

“It’s frustrating. I don’t know what’s happening and why we don’t know yet. We are waiting,” she said. “I heard a few cities. I’m not sure where. Some say Saudi. I’m not sure. It could be a great option for me, to be honest. But I need to qualify first and then see.”

“I wish they can take the decision as soon as possible so we would know where we want to go and the fans would know so we don’t have empty stadiums and we can promote, you know, the WTA Finals as soon as possible,” Jabeur continued.
