Svitolina, Linette and Wang all through in Thailand Open

It was a mixture of first and second round action today with Svitolina playing her first round game. She was taking on Bibiane Schoofs and breezed through in a 6-2, 6-4 win which saw her through in straight sets.

That was one of only two first round ties to take place on third day with Magda Linette involved in the other also moving through in a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Kateryna Bondarenko.

Other ties in the second round took place with multiple wins for Chinese players including Qiang Wang who defeated Katarzyna Kawa who came through in a 6-3, 6-4 victory; as well as Saisai Zheng who saw off En Shuo Liang 6-4, 6-3.

There was also victory for Nao Hibino who similar to most other winners today breezed through in a 6-0, 6-1 win over Peangtarn Plipuech.
