Elina Svitolina will face Leolia Jeanjean in the Quarter-Finals of the Sant-Melo WTA 125k on Friday afternoon with her first back-to-back wins on the tour since becoming a mother.
Svitolina spoke to EDGE, a tournament partner, about her comeback and how it works with both parents being on tour with her husband Gael Monfils also back in action.
But also about working with a mental psychologist but not for the reasons that many others have one. Svitolina said that it is due to the war and the tough mental toll it takes.
"I work with a mental psychologist. It’s tough for me with the war going on. After I went to Ukraine in February, I had to reset myself. It was extremely tough. When I feel I need help, I work for some time & then let it go again, to leave on my terms."
