World No.3
Jessica Pegula was left feeling disappointed after losing one of "the wildest matches" of her career.
Pegula fell to two-time Grand Slam champion
Petra Kvitova in the round of 16 at the BNP Paribas Open
Indian Wells, failing to the Czech in a thrilling three-set encounter.
Taking to social media afterwards, Pegula admitted losing that match hurt her more than she let on following the match.
"That one hurt. One of the wildest matches I’ve played. Not much else to say just back to work.," she wrote on Instagram.
The 29-year old followed it up with another update on Twitter.
"The ups & downs of this sport I’ll never get used to. Slightly gutted but the only way to move is forward."
