"This guy is busy, why is he coming to watch me play?!": Gauff starstruck as Justin Bieber and Jimmy Butler attend latest US Open win

Coco Gauff prevailed over Elise Mertens coming from a set down to continue her march at the US Open. But she had an all star cast watching her in the stands of Arthur Ashe.

Gauff had singer Justin Bieber, his wife Hailey Bieber and also as ever, NBA star Jimmy Butler who is a well-known tennis fan and has attended matches in particular of Gauff and Carlos Alcaraz.

She said she was left starstruck at those in attendance reciting that she was a big fan of Bieber growing up in particular his song Never Say Never with Jaden Smith and Baby featuring Ludacris.

But also she said about Butler that she wasn't shocked to see him there but still questioned why he was there to see her given he has a busy life.

As the hype continues though for Gauff as do the fans and she seemingly has some all-star fans cheering her on in New York.

“I was definitely starstruck with Justin Bieber,” she said to the crowd. “‘Never Say Never’ was one of my favorite songs when I was a kid. And then ‘Baby, Oh Baby’… I could go through all his songs. And then Hailey coming too — I guess it was a little date night for them which is really cool.”

“Jimmy Butler has come to a couple of my matches so I wasn’t as surprised that he was there. But I’m still like: ‘This guy is busy. Why is he coming to watch me play?!’ But it’s a really cool experience,” she continued.
