The Prize Money and Points Breakdown has been confirmed ahead of the WTA Adelaide International which takes place between January 6 - January 11, 2025.
Acting as a precursor for the Australian Open, it will see Jessica Pegula and Emma Navarro as top seeds as well as Danielle Collins, Daria Kasatkina and defending champion Jelena Ostapenko also in action.
Those involved will vie for $1,064,510 in total commitment with $164,000 for the champion at this WTA 500. There is 500 points for the victor with 325 points for the finalist. It is $101,000 for finishing runner-up. For making it to the semi-finals, it is $59,100 with 195 points and this goes all the way down to 1 point and $10,190 for losing in the first round.
Ashleigh Barty won the inaugural event in 2020, defeating Dayana Yastremska, and triumphed again in 2022, overcoming Elena Rybakina in the Adelaide International 1. The 2021 title went to Iga Świątek, who bested Belinda Bencic in the final. In 2022, the Adelaide International 2 was claimed by Madison Keys, with Alison Riske as the runner-up.
The 2023 editions saw Aryna Sabalenka defeating Linda Nosková in Adelaide International 1 and Belinda Bencic overcoming Daria Kasatkina in Adelaide International 2. Most recently, in 2024, Jeļena Ostapenko secured the title by defeating Daria Kasatkina in the final. Ashleigh Barty remains the only player to have won the tournament twice.
