"This is not the level for the WTA Finals": Aryna Sabalenka fumes at Cancun chaos, calls on WTA to do better

Amid all the WTA Finals gala and the glamour to it all has been an undertone for most of the week of chaos in Cancun, World No.1 Aryna Sabalenka is one of those who has voiced her opinion heavily with the stadium unfinished on arrival.
It has been a race against time at the WTA Finals to even get it ready for Sunday's start, with players joking about being construction workers and leaving cryptic posts also about the state of the conditions.

Sabalenka not pleased, calls on WTA to do better next year

Those involved have only been allowed a short time to practice on the stadium court, with the rest being spent at the hotel with heavy winds. Sabalenka called it a joke earlier in the week and didn't hold back in her pre-tournament press calling on the WTA to do better.
“I’m not happy that we couldn’t practice on the match court, meaning like on the stadium. I think this is not the level for the WTA Finals. We literally have one hour today, like 45 minutes, to try the stadium," said Sabalenka.
"This is something I’m not happy with. I’m pretty sure the rest of the players are also not happy. At the same time, yes, I know we’re all in the same conditions. But this is not conditions for the WTA Finals. So it’s not great. I mean, usually we need like three to four days to kind of like adjust to conditions. But we’ll see. I guess it is how it is. But I hope that next year WTA will do better job.”
