Elena Rybakina sealed the
Rome Open title on Saturday evening in a final marred by rain delays and not being given a prime time slot after the men's semi-finals which saw scheduling take centre stage again.
But the fans seemingly took out their frustration as they booed during the presentation speeches with no player seemingly having any idea what was going on.
Post speeches though, it seems to be that this was due to the organisers as opposed to the players and likely due to the scheduling.
It was noted that as well as the late slot for the WTA Final, the doubles final was not televised at all which also drew the ire on social media.
