Naomi Osaka took part in her first press conference since the French Open controversy ahead of the Western & Southern Open and it was an experience which left the Japanese star in tears.
Osaka fielded several questions as normal before a member of the media as per Ben Rothenberg on Twitter before it was derailed.
According to Rothenberg, a 'fairly aggressively toned question' was sent the way of Osaka about how she benefits from a high media profile but doesn't like speaking to the media.
This led to Osaka breaking down in tears before the press conference was paused. She resumed the press conference answering a follow up in English and a few Japanese questions.
