Alexandra Eala has disclosed that she is currently single addressing speculation about her love life in the process. Of course being a huge star back at home, no doubt many will be wondering if she is dating anyone.
The 21-year-old Filipina made headlines for her stellar performances at Wimbledon where she lost in the fourth round in a three-set thriller against Jasmine Paolini. But she made huge strides also up the
rankings too.
After her campaign, Eala made an appearance when she returned home to a heroes welcome on the Kapamilya channel and as part of that, she addressed questions about her love life. The interviewer asked if she had a heartbreak off court.
Eala admitted she has and then asked if she was dating anyone right now. But while she isn't ruling it out, she is focusing on her career as of right now so unless it happened naturally and it was something she couldn't get away from, it is not currently on the cards. "I'm not seeking anything at the moment, but if it happens to be, it happens to be," Eala said.
Eala nurtures friendships off court
The Rafael Nadal Academy trained athlete is part though of a next generation of tennis stars who are very much about enjoying themselves off the court just as much as finding themselves on it. She is known to be close friends with Eva Lys, Zeynep Sonmez, Iva Jovic, Victoria Mboko among others who have all spoken about each other in glowing terms and often post pictures and videos together at tournaments.
Tennis can often be quite a lonely place but while Eala isn't in a relationship, she is very much in a great place off it with the friendships she is fostering on tour and although she competes against these players, her and Jovic who have often spoken about in particular have said that while they are fierce on the court. They remain friends off it and know how to flick that switch.
Albeit Jovic has often got the better of Eala as of late so perhaps is only really beneficial on her side more than on Eala's. Eala also touched upon balancing her personal and professional life with Manila Bulletin. "Yes, I have a life outside tennis. It’s something I put effort into nurturing, because a lot of the time, especially, when I’m traveling so much for my job. I’m sure a lot of you can relate that sometimes your career can become your whole life, and the work-life balance becomes imbalanced."
