WTA DRAW 2024 Abu Dhabi Open: Round Two potential clashes include RYBAKINA-OSAKA, JABEUR-RADUCANU and SAKKARI-GARCIA

The draw has been confirmed ahead of the 2024 Abu Dhabi Open, a WTA 500 tournament which will take place in the week of 5-11 February and begins the Middle East swing in earnest with a top line-up set to take to the court.

Headlined by Elena Rybakina who will also play in Doha and Dubai in the coming weeks, she is cramming in tournaments after losing early on at the Australian Open and the ranking decline that occurred as a result. She is top seed and could face Naomi Osaka in the second round who returns with a wildcard.

It is also Emma Raducanu who could face a top name. She is also a wildcard and faces tough Czech, Marie Bouzkova. The winner faces Ons Jabeur. Other top ties could include Maria Sakkari facing Caroline Garcia or Sorana Cirstea. Barbora Krejcikova could face Veronika Kudermetova. Paula Badosa and Anhelina Kalinina face off with the winner facing Liudmila Samsonova or Lesia Tsurenko. Belinda Bencic is the defending champion, but will not return to defend her title due to pregnancy.

There is also the intrigue of the doubles with Ons Jabeur and Naomi Osaka set to team up which will likely bring more eyes onto the WTA 500 with many of the top names instead playing Doha and Dubai in the coming weeks.
