The WTA Draw has been confirmed for 2023 BNP Paribas Open Indian Wells with top seed and defending champion, Iga Swiatek set to face Claire Liu or Alison van Uytvanck in the second round in California.
Top American, Jessica Pegula on home soil will meet either Camila Giorgi or a qualifier to begin her quest for the title.
Emma Raducanu will face Danka Kovinic to begin her campaign with the potential to face Magda Linette in the second round. Bianca Andreescu is in the same section as Swiatek and is a potential third round meeting.
Caroline Garcia could face Danielle Collins in the second round with the latter opening up against Tamara Korpatsch. Other standout first round draws include Sloane Stephens facing Sofia Kenin with the winner set to take on Elena Rybakina.
Maria Sakkari could again face Shelby Rogers in the second round, while Karolina Pliskova could take on American prodigy, Alycia Parks. Coco Gauff will face a qualifier and is currently slated to face Amanda Anisimova potentially in the third round.
While Aryna Sabalenka could start again a player famed for dumping big names out in Alize Cornet.
