WTA Draw released for BNP Paribas Open Indian Wells: Potential third round between Raducanu and Halep

The draw has been released ahead of BNP Paribas Open Indian Wells which is due to take place between October 7-17 in California.
Big news is that a potential round three meeting is set between Emma Raducanu and her idol, Simona Halep.
The recent US Open champion is set to take on either Maria Osorio Serrano or Aliaksandra Sasnovich in the second round.
While Halep could face a tough assignment with Marta Kostyuk, the Ukranian rising star or Shuai Zhang awaiting in the second round.
Top seed is Karolina Pliskova after the Covid-19 withdrawal of Aryna Sabalenka and she will face either Saisai Zheng or Caty McNally in her opener.

Other top players include former champion, Bianca Andreescu facing Alison Riske or a Qualifier. Maria Sakkari in superb form could face Marketa Vondrousova in her first tie.
While other potential matches include Garbine Muguruza fresh from her Chicago win facing potentially Ajla Tomljanovic. Kim Clijsters facing Katerina Siniakova with Angelique Kerber awaiting.
