Iga Swiatek and Elena Rybakina remain the leaders of the WTA Race to Riyadh following the conclusion of the WTA 500 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix, where Rybakina claimed the trophy, ending Swiatek's streak of two consecutive titles in Stuttgart. Both players continue to be the top point earners in 2024, with identical records of 26-4.
Swiatek leads with 3,345 points, thanks to her titles at the Doha Open and Indian Wells, along with semifinal appearances at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships and Stuttgart. In second place is Rybakina with 3,203 points, earning three titles in five finals contested this year. The 2022 Wimbledon champion emerged victorious in the first clay swing challenge, especially significant as eight top-10 players made their clay debut this year in Stuttgart.

Sabalenka drifts away from the leaders, while Gauff and Collins remain ahead.

Aryna Sabalenka has slipped in the Race standings. The 2-times Australian Open champion was the outright leader after claiming the trophy in Melbourne but has not achieved significant results since then, allowing her main rivals to gain an advantage. Sabalenka suffered a defeat in her Dubai debut, reached the round of 16 in Indian Wells, exited in the third round of the Miami Open, and was eliminated in the quarterfinals of Stuttgart, placing her third in the Race with 2,638 points.
Further behind Sabalenka are Americans Danielle Collins and Coco Gauff. The 30-year-old Collins remarkably secured her first WTA 1000 title in Miami and now holds the 4th position in the Race with 2,032 points, slightly ahead of Coco Gauff with 1,883.

Following Gauff are 21-year-olds Zheng Qinwen, finalist in the recent Australian Open, and Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk, finalist this week at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix and a month earlier at the San Diego Open. Occupying the eighth spot is Italian and WTA 1000 Qatar Open champion Jasmine Paolini, who would currently be the last qualifier for the Finals in Riyadh.
