Belinda Bencic became world number 4 today which is her best ranking ever due to a good showing in St. Petersburg. While she didn't win the trophy she did enough to move past Andreescu and Svitolina. The Ladies Trophy in St. Petersburg was won by Bertens but she remained the world number 8 for now as she was the defending champion.
A good showing by Elena Rybakina saw her lose in the final but it was enough to propel her into the top 20 as she is now ranked 19th. Another player who had a great week was Potapova from Russia. She reached the quarterfinal in St. Petersburg where she lost to Bertens but it allowed her to become world number 81 after jumping 20 spots.
There weren't any major movements in the rest of the rankings so we won't go into detail about it. It's worth noting that Magda Linette jumped 9 spots to become the world number 33. There is one interesting thing and it's Caroline Wozniacki ranked at 36 despite being retired.
