WTA Women's Draw released for the 2020 US Open

The women's singles main draw for the 2020 US Open that will be played from August 31st - September 13th has been released.

The 2019 US Open champion, Bianca Andreescu, and women's world number 1, Ashleigh Barty won't take part in this year's US Open. On the other, the 23-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams will have a chance to win her record-breaking 24th Grand Slam title.
World number 3, Karolina Pliskova will be the first-seeded in Flushing Meadows this year. She will play against Anhelina Kalinina in the first round. The second-seeded Sofia Kenin will meet Yanina Wickmayer. Serena Williams will be the third-seeded at the 2020 US Open despite being the ninth highest-ranked woman in the WTA Rankings. She will take on Kristie Ahn in the first round.
