Matteo Berrettini will make his return to tennis in the coming weeks at the
Arizona Tennis Classic Challenger Tour event which has a field which is similar more to an ATP 250 than a Challenger with many marvelling at the 10 top 50 players involved.
Annually held in Phoenix, Arizona, it usually attracts big names due to no tennis being played in the weeks after the Middle Eastern swing. As a result, Berrettini, Diego Schwartzman, Richard Gasquet and Alexander Bublik played last year.
"This is ridiculous," wrote one fan. "Looks like a 250 event lineup with the quality of players in it," wrote another which was a view point backed up by another. "That's a crazy list for a challenger... ATP 250 quality."
Many continued to marvel at it being a Challenger and wondering how some players including Struff have managed to get away with being able to enter this tournament. But for many, they are either on the comeback trail or have been in poor form as of late. Some won't play Indian Wells either due to not being able to get in through the main draw or will hazard an attempt at qualifying.
