ATP Draw confirmed for 2022 US Open: Defending champion Medvedev to face Kozlov, Nadal to face wildcard Hijikata

The Men's Draw has been confirmed ahead of the 2022 US Open which will take place between August 29th to September 11th at Flushing Meadows, New York.
Top seed and defending champion is Daniil Medvedev, he is set to face Stefan Kozlov with Quentin Halys or Arthur Rinderknech awaiting in the same quarter as Nick Kyrgios who faces Special K's teammate and best friend, Thanasi Kokkinakis.
As well as Montreal winner, Pablo Carreno Busta who takes on former champion Dominic Thiem. On Rafael Nadal's return to New York, he faces Rinky Hijikata who is a wildcard. Fabio Fognini or Aslan Karatsev could await.

Cameron Norrie is also in his quarter facing Benoit Paire, while other ties to watch see Diego Schwartzman face Jack Sock. In Carlos Alcaraz's quarter, he faces Sebastian Baez with other names such as Borna Coric, Jannik Sinner, Jenson Brooksby and Hubert Hurkacz also in his section.
Andy Murray will face Francisco Cerundolo, while Stefanos Tsitsipas faces a qualifier with either Lorenzo Sonego or Jordan Thompson in the second round in a tough quarter which also features Matteo Berrettini, Taylor Fritz, Casper Ruud, Sebastian Korda and Stan Wawrinka.
There is no Novak Djokovic in New York due to vaccination requirements, while Alexander Zverev is also out due to injury.
