ATP Next Gen Finals finally confirmed to be held in Saudi Arabia, deal signed until 2027

After rumours for months surrounding the ATP Next Gen Finals, it has finally been confirmed to take place between 28 November - 2 December in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Taking place at the King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah on the indoor hard courts, it has been accompanied with two million dollars of prize money on offer.

It marks the first investment from Saudi Arabia into tennis with Formula One, Football and Boxing previously following suit.

Other rumors in the past day also surround the WTA Finals being announced to take place in the country, as well as the Hall of Fame Open Newport's license being sent to Saudi Arabia to mark the first full tournaments on both tours.

"The ATP Tour is truly global and exploring new markets is central to growing the game,” Gaudenzi told the ATP website.

“Bringing the Next Gen ATP Finals to Jeddah is our chance to inspire new fans, in a region with a vast young population, and unite audiences around tennis. Our congratulations go to Jeddah and the Saudi Tennis Federation. We look forward to building on the event’s incredible success together.”

“We are extremely proud that ATP has selected Jeddah to host such an important tennis event,” said President of Saudi Tennis Federation, Arij Mutabagani said in the press release.

“The Next Gen ATP Finals embodies the philosophy of our Federation, which is to inspire young talent to reach the sport’s highest levels. We’re excited to collaborate to promote the ATP Tour’s most promising rising stars, and showcase new sporting innovations, in our special city of Jeddah.”

It's been in the works for a while but is now official: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia will host the Next Gen ATP Finals from 2023-2027. The tournament will take place over 5 days at King Abdullah Sports City on indoor hard court from Nov 28-Dec 2 2023, with a record $2m prize money.
