The ATP Race to Turin is entering its final stretch of the season, with Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, and Alexander Zverev currently qualified for the ATP Finals. Five spots remain to be determined for the tournament taking place in November, and Novak Djokovic is temporarily out of contention.
Since 2007, Djokovic has qualified 16 times, with the exception of 2017, a year plagued by injuries and limited participation. Djokovic holds the record for the most Finals titles with seven, including the last two editions in 2022 and 2023.

Alcaraz, Sinner and Zverer qualify for ATP Finals

With the conclusion of the final Grand Slam of the year at the US Open, there are fewer events remaining in the season as top players aim to secure their qualifications. The Grand Slam champions—Sinner (Australian Open and US Open) and Alcaraz (French Open and Wimbledon)—have been qualified for several weeks. The most recent addition was Alexander Zverev, the current world No. 2, who secured his spot with his title at the Rome Open and his final appearance at the French Open.
The next five spots for the tournament are still to be decided, with the qualification threshold at 5,560 points, though it will gradually decrease as the remaining events progress. Daniil Medvedev is in a strong position for qualification, holding the 4th spot in the Race with 4,420 points, and could secure his spot for the 6th consecutive time in the coming weeks.
A bit further behind are US Open runner-up Taylor Fritz (3,890) and Barcelona Open champion Casper Ruud (3,795). Although they are still comfortably ahead of Medvedev, a deep run in any of the upcoming tournaments could almost guarantee their qualification, though they must remain cautious of the close contenders.
The last two qualifying spots are currently held by Andrey Rublev (3,480 points) and Alex De Minaur (3,305). Defending their positions will be challenging, with at least four players who could make a surprise move in the final weeks, led by Novak Djokovic (3,260) in 9th place.
His early exit at the US Open prevented him from securing a spot among the top 8, and he is expected to appear only in the final two Masters events in Shanghai and Paris, requiring deep runs to enter the qualification zone. Nevertheless, the chances of Grigor Dimitrov (2,835), Tommy Paul (2,735), and Stefanos Tsitsipas (2,735) should not be discounted.
