After Roger Federer back in 2001, Felix Auger-Aliassime became the youngest finalist at the ABN Amro World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam.

In the year 2001, Roger Federer was just at the beginning of his great tennis career. At the age of just 19-years-old, Federer reached the final in Rotterdam. There, he lost to qualifier Nicolas Escude 5-7, 6-3, 6-7. On the same day, 19 years later, Felix Auger-Aliassime was born.
The young Canadian is world number 21 in the ATP Ranking and he is gaining more and more tennis experience every day. Today, Auger-Aliassime broke Federer's record which he set 19 years ago in Rotterdam.
The Canadian faced Pablo Carreno-Busta in the semifinal. Throughout the match, Auger-Aliassime kept a high level of the first service when he scored up to 16 aces. After turning two break points in the 11th game of the first set, Auger-Aliassime managed to win the tie-break to gain the lead.
In the second set, it was Carreno-Busta again who had the first breakpoint. However, he did not convert it and it was Felix who took his chance in the next game. Later, Auger-Aliassime turned away one more breakpoint to win the second set 6-4 and advance into the final. Roger and Felix were born on the same day, however, the tournament back in 2001 started 10 days later and so it is the Canadian who is the youngest player to ever reach the final in Rotterdam.
