In a new Daily Dose of Social Media, Daria Kasatkina shared her latest episode of What the Vlog, in which she again stars with several of the big stars of the WTA Tour, including Mirra Andreeva, Jelena Ostapenko, and Ons Jabeur.
On the other hand, a striking moment was experienced at the Madrid Open when the 'soldiers' from Squid Game entered the stands in a fun contest for the fans. Additionally, Alexandra Eala joked about her lack of skill in other sports, while a video shows the 'fails' of the tournament's stars in a recent golf challenge.

Kasatkina Vlogs with Andreeva, Jabeur, and More

Daria Kasatkina – along with her girlfriend Natalia Zabiiako – released a new episode of their YouTube channel ‘What the Vlog’. The tennis player of Russian origin, recently naturalized Australian, has positioned her Vlog by showing part of the behind-the-scenes of the WTA Tour, with fun interviews with several of her colleagues. This time the episode was during her participation in the WTA 1000 Madrid Open, where she achieved a victory against Alycia Parks in her debut but couldn't in the third round against the 21st seed Ekaterina Alexandrova.
In the new episode, Kasatkina's training with one of her close friends on the Tour, Mirra Andreeva, is shown, with whom she also had fun moments after the training. During this time, the teenager spoke about her birthday wishes, a couple of days before turning 18. Other stars who were present in the episode included the 3-time Grand Slam runner-up Ons Jabeur, former Roland Garros finalist Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, and former French Open champion Jelena Ostapenko. Additionally, Kasatkina showed how she experienced the Monday blackout in Madrid, in which activities had to be suspended at the tournament due to a power outage that affected the entire country.

Golf gaffes! ATP and WTA Stars hilariously miss the mark

A few days ago, the Madrid Open organization showed the golf challenge that several of the main ATP and WTA stars underwent, in which they tried to reach a target about 50 yards away. Although some like Casper Ruud and Jessica Pegula had shown good shots, this time it was the turn of the fails, which included Coco Gauff, Jasmine Paolini, Holger Rune, and Lorenzo Musetti, among others.
The finals of the Madrid Open for both women and men are now set, in search of a new champion to succeed the defending champions – both already eliminated – Iga Swiatek and Andrey Rublev. On Saturday, the women's final will be played between the world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka and No. 4 Coco Gauff. Meanwhile, in the men's, the final will be between world No. 6 Jack Draper – who is looking for his second Masters 1000 title – and Casper Ruud, who is seeking revenge for two previous finals lost in the same category and will be looking for the most important title of his career.

"Terrible at other sports": Alexandra Eala jokes after stunning rise

Alexandra Eala is one of the rising stars in the 2025 WTA Tour season, following an incredible performance at the recent Miami Open. The Filipina entered the main draw with a wild card and made the most of it, reaching the semifinals of the tournament, leaving behind no less than Madison Keys (No. 5) and Iga Swiatek (No. 2), both the biggest wins of her career.
In a recent interview with the WTA, Eala jokingly commented that she is not good at any other sport besides tennis: “I’m really bad at, like other sports. Any other sport that isn’t tennis. I’m pretty bad at, so I haven’t really had the time to venture out into, you know, some focused on this tennis thing that you know, other sports as hobbies, has proven to be difficult for me,” she said.
On the other hand, she highlighted the growth of tennis in her country after having risen to the forefront of women's tennis. Eala started the year as world No. 140 and has already reached No. 72. Without many points to defend in the coming months and with a guaranteed spot in the Rome Open and Roland Garros, the 19-year-old player has everything to continue climbing positions. “I’m so happy with the attention that tennis is getting right now in Manila, because I see so many – especially on Instagram – I see so many people picking up racquets, making videos. I’m just so grateful that what I’ve done, hopefully has played a part in that.”

Squid Game soldiers invade Madrid Open

The stands of the Madrid Open experienced a peculiar moment in the middle of the semifinal matches after several 'soldiers' dressed as members of Squid Game entered for a fun Netflix contest that left prizes and tickets for the tournament spectators.
The campaign by Netflix, one of the tournament's sponsors, comes after the release of the three-episode Carlos Alcaraz documentary, which has received good reviews in recent days. Netflix has shown a growing interest in tennis, having already held the "Netflix Slam" a year ago, in which Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz faced off in a live match, in addition to having the series Break Point, which over two seasons showed part of the behind-the-scenes of the ATP and WTA Tour, featuring stars such as Alexander Zverev, Matteo Berrettini, Aryna Sabalenka, and Paula Badosa, among others.

Draper's delight: Brit roars into Madrid Open Final

Jack Draper had an effusive reaction after overcoming a tough challenge against Lorenzo Musetti in the semifinals of the Madrid Open. The world No. 6 is the highest-ranked player remaining in the tournament for several rounds and has shown his favoritism as the recent champion of a Masters 1000 in Indian Wells, reaching his second final of his career in a tournament of this category.
The Brit secured the victory 6-4, 7-6(4) in a tight duel against Musetti, showing greater composure in the important moments of an intense encounter. Once the match ended and his passage to the final was confirmed, Draper returned to the court to show his effusive reaction, shouting and celebrating towards the stands after reaching another final. In search of the title, he will face world No. 15 Casper Ruud, who is looking for his first Masters 1000 title.
