Stefanos Tsitsipas appears to be turning the corner on
Andrey Rublev after he insulted his tennis previous calling him a palyer with 'few tools'.
Rublev and Tsitsipas played a couple of times and it's a matchup that saw both of them beat the other one. Some of their clashes were finals with Tsitsipas taking down Rublev in Monte-Carlo two years ago. Yesterday it was time for Rublev to lift the trophy and Tsitsipas reacted to it on social media calling it deserved:
"He deserves it. He is a good kid."
It's somewhat different from what we've been seeing lately on the ATP players with many players openly clashing with each other. Most notably it's Zverev and Medvedev and Tsitsipas has history with both.
