Italians Matteo Berrettini and Fabio Fognini have been granted wildcard entries to the upcoming Rome Open, which is scheduled to run from May 8-19, 2024.
An ATP 1000 Masters event, the Rome Open is traditionally played on clay and is one of the most sought after titles on tour. With several high-ranking players likely to compete at the tournament, player spots are limited. However, it comes as no surprise that the Italian duo have been granted entry to their home event, with fans likely to show up in thousands to support the national heroes.

Joining Berrettini in Rome is compatriot Fognini, who is in the twilight of his career but is still a fan-favorite among the home spectators.
