Rafael Nadal won't return until the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell at the earliest to begin his Roland Garros clay court preparation after withdrawing from the Monte-Carlo Masters set to take place between 9 April - 16 April.
Nadal denied reports last week that he was set to return in Monaco and that has now been confirmed with the Spaniard saying that he is not yet ready to return from injury which has kept him out since the Australian Open.
Worries will start to swell for fans of Nadal as he searches for his 15th French Open title in May whether he will be ready in time.
"Hi everyone, I'm still not ready to compete at the highest level. I will not be able to play in one of the most important tournaments of my career, Monte Carlo. I am not yet in a position to play with the maximum guarantees and I continue my preparation process, hoping to return soon," said Nadal translated from Spanish.
