It's not arrogance, it's fact says
Novak Djokovic when it comes to his immense self-belief and having the guile to back it up after winning 3/4 Grand Slams last season and ending the year again as World No.1.
Djokovic anchored Team Serbia to victory over China sealing the doubles alongside Olga Danilovic and pre-tournament, he said that he was going to give it 100% effort like he always does and after the match, he opened up on his unwavering belief that at his peak, he is the best.
"Well, that's kind of a mindset that I nurtured over the years. Might seem unrealistic or impossible to some. It might seem arrogant to some others. I don't know," he said.
"I've always believed in myself very strongly. I know that I'm a very all-around player. When I'm fit, when I'm at the peak of my performance, I can win any slam or any tournament. I know that. I'm not afraid to say that," he added.
But in addition, he also stated once again his goal to win the Olympic Games and finally seal a gold medal which has been the harbinger of doom on his accolade list for a long time.
"It's not a secret that I want to break more records and make more history of the game. That's something that keeps on motivating me," Djokovic continued.
"I mentioned a little bit, I mean, five minutes ago, that Grand Slams, Olympic Games, hopefully I can win another medal for Serbia in the Olympics. I would love to do that. That's one of the highest goals for this year."
