Wimbledon 2026 is only one day from getting underway. The third Grand Slam of the year is one of the most prestigious and coveted tournaments that will be fiercely competed by the best players in the world. BBC will be broadcasting all the live action, but with there being so many tantalising matches on day one of the Championships, they have already been pushed into a conundrum with Jannik Sinner and Emma Raducanu playing at the same time.
Normally this would be a no brainer. Sinner is the reigning Wimbledon champion and World No.1 playing on Centre Court. This would be the obvious choice, but for British fans Raducanu is who they may prefer to watch.
Every single match from the tournament will be live on BBC iPlayer from all 18 courts, allowing fans to tune in to whatever match that takes their eye. However, the main attraction will be broadcasted on one of the BBC channels.
Already the British broadcaster is in a spot of bother. On the first day, British number one Emma Raducanu will take to Court No.1 against Antonia Ruzic at 1pm. 30 minutes later, Sinner will walk out onto Centre Court as he starts up his title defence against Miomir Kecmanovic.
Coverage begins on BBC Two at 10:30am and will run all the way through until 7pm. As for BBC One, it will start at 2pm. By that time both matches would have begun with the BBC now having a tough decision to make. In that 30 minute time slot, do they pursue with Raducanu's match or do they switch over to Sinner's clash.
They had a similar tricky choice at Queen's Club Championships. With two highly intriguing doubles matches going on at the same time, they decided to show Serena Williams and Victoria Mboko's match over Raducanu and Katie Boulter's. This got some tennis fans to complain with them wanting to watch the British duo in action. Their contest Storm Hunter and Shuai Zhang was not even available on iPlayer, a contentious decision.

Choice may be made up for them

While this decision is mulled over, their final conclusion may be taken out of their hands. Raducanu has been in the wars as of late. Following a final run at Queen's, she pulled out of the Nottingham Open and Eastbourne Open, halting any chances of playing a full grass swing.
She was seen leaving her practice session earlier in the week with an orthopaedic boot on her right leg which started to raise concerns. More doubts were casted following an abrupt halt in a practice match against Anna Kalinskaya.
Raducanu managed to play four games, losing all of them, before deciding to call it a day against the Russian. Her media duties were also pushed back to avoid a similar situation that occurred in Rome as the former US Open champion waits as long as possible before making that all-important final decision.
It is set to be a bumper first day of action. Fellow World No.1 Aryna Sabalenka will follow Sinner on Centre Court with seven-time champion Novak Djokovic culminating the action. Daniil Medvedev will take on former finalist Marin Cilic with Roland Garros champion Mirra Andreeva also featuring on No.1 Court. The likes of Coco Gauff, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Jessica Pegula, Casper Ruud, Naomi Osaka, Karolina Muchova and Maja Chwalinska all commence their campaigns.
