Roger Federer has been in Geneva for days preparing ahead of his clay debut at the Geneva Open next week.
The Geneva Open will be the only clay event Roger Federer will play in preparation for the Roland Garros. The choice for Federer was an obvious one as an event being held in his native Switzerland. The proximity to Paris also makes it a short journey which is always something that benefits players.
Ahead of the event, Federer's former doubles partner Marc Rosset said he believes Federer wants to win the title in Geneva as he always tries to do best at home events. The only title Federer ever won on clay in Switzerland came in 2004 when he won Gstaad. The competition will be stiff for Roger with Shapovalov, Dimitrov and many other great players will take part.
