Roland Garros 2020 Sunday's Schedule of Play

The second day at the 2020 Roland Garros will showcase some of the brightest tennis stars as Rafael Nadal, Serena Williams and many others will join the action.

After a little introduction day from the 2020 Roland Garros on Sunday, we'll see the full action with more than 50 matches on Tuesday. The day will begin with some interesting names on the court including Fabio Fognini who will take on Mikhail Kukushkin or an all-American matchup between Reilly Opelka and Jack Sock.

In the women's draw, Petra Kvitova will play against Oceane Dodin, at the same time, Kiki Bertens will take on Katarina Zavatska and Tsvetana Pironkova, who was doing exceptionally at the US Open, will meet Andrea Petkovic. In the next set of matches, we'll see Elina Svitolina against Varvara Gracheva but also Grand Slam champions Angelique Kerber against Kaja Juvan and Garbine Mugurza will meet Tamara Zidansek.

Back in the men's draw, we'll be able to witness the first-round blockbuster between Dominic Thiem and Marin Cilic. In the later hours, Rafael Nadal will return to his 'kingdom' to take on Egor Gerasimov in the first round. Daniil Medvedev will meet Marton Fucsovics in the first round.

But there will be still more action from the WTA Tour. 23-time Grand Slam champion, Serena Williams will kick-off her journey towards the 24th title against Kristie Ahn. Another American, Madison Keys will meet Shuai Zhang in the first round.

The Roland Garros kicks off on Sunday and several interesting match at hand promising a very exciting and action packed grand slam event. The ATP part of the event kicks off at 11 am with several interesting matches including one between Sinner and Goffin which promises to be good. They will be followed by many more interesting matches but one fascinating matchup is between Dan Evans and Kei Nishikori. The Japanese hasn't been playing well lately so it will interesting to see whether he find his form in Paris.

The later part of the day will see the match of the day and round 1 as Andy Murray takes on Stan Wawrinka. The match itself is a great callback to Murray's last appearanec in Paris three years ago when he lost to Wawrinka. Alexander Zverev will also step out to take on Novak from Austria in his first match since his US Open loss.

The WTA part of the schedule kicks off at 11 as well with Victoria Azarenka taking on Danka Kovinic. The Belarussian will be looking to conitnue her fascinting run after the restart against a tricky opponent. Simona Halep will also get her French Open campaign underway with a match against Sorribes Tormo. The 1st day of play will feature an additonal number of interesting matches including Gauff - Konta which promises to be a stellar match.
