The bottom half of the draw will take centre stage on Day 10 (Tuesday 23 January) with the schedule now confirmed ahead of the first of two Quarter-Final spectaculars at the 2024 Australian Open with action in both the ATP and WTA draw.
Our preview as ever runs you through the main talking points and all of the matches set to take place on Day 10 with the first semi-finalists to be crowned and in both draws there is intrigue and the big names remaining in action.

WTA Draw depleted but Sabalenka and Gauff remain

After Victoria Azarenka exited stage left on Monday, there are three Grand Slam champions left who are on a collision course with each other and will be favourites for the women's title at the end of this week and they flank each end of the session as Coco Gauff, the current US Open champion will start proceedings off. She faces Marta Kostyuk.
They have played multiple times in doubles but only once in singles which Gauff took in a three set clash back in 2022 in Adelaide so in Aussie conditions. Kostyuk en route to her maiden Grand Slam Quarter-Final has been in the right place at the right time in this section. The 21-year-old saw off Claire Liu, Elise Mertens, Elina Avanesyan and Maria Timofeeva en route to this point witth the latter two slated initially to be Maria Sakkari and Beatriz Haddad Maia. But she will now face her toughest test in the American.
Not dropping a set so far, she has sped past Magdalena Frech, Alycia Parks, Caroline Dolehide and Anna Karolina Schmiedlova, but like in Kostyuk's case, it will also be her biggest clash so far. The last tie between this pair went three sets so the same is likely.
The other tie sees two Grand Slam champions and in particular the defending champion face off as Aryna Sabalenka takes on former Roland Garros winner, Barbora Krejcikova who was masterful in taking down Mirra Andreeva. Sabalenka on the otherhand has been incredible all tournament and like Gauff has not dropped a set yet, all roads point to them facing off but WTA tennis is unpredictable and as the other half has proven, anything is indeed possible.

Djokovic-Fritz and Sinner-Rublev set for ATP Quarter-Finals

In the other ties, Novak Djokovic will again play a Day Session for only the second time in over 1000 days. He faces Taylor Fritz second up, but this placing is likely for a reason or will the American prove the doubt wrong. His record against the 24-time Grand Slam champion has been abysmal with an 8-0 match deficit and he has barely won a set against Djokovic, not a match up he enjoys. But Djokovic has been battling a viral infection and despite thrashing Adrian Mannarino is not at full flow yet.
The same can't be said for Jannik Sinner and Andrey Rublev who have been sublime this time. The Italian sits 4-2 up in their Head to Head and has caught the eye by not dropping a set this tournament including in his last two against stiffer competition in Karen Khachanov and Sebastian Baez. Rublev on the other hand prevailed last round in an epic against Alex de Minaur. Expect the same late into the night in Australia.
