Novak Djokovic will almost certainly miss the US Open and many people don't like it including Italian rising star Flavio Cobolli.
Djokovic can't enter the US due to not being vaccinated and unless the event applies for an exemption of some sort he won't play at the US Open. Reports from the country have stated that the event won't be applying for an exemption meaning this story is pretty much concluded.
It's a disappointing thing for Djokovic but not only for him with many calling for the situation to be resolved one way or another. John McEnroe was very vocal about it and now rising star Flavio Cobolli added his own words into the mix as well:
"I'm not sure, but I believe that seeing the strongest player in history being out of the top 20 at the end of the year is not good for tennis and will certainly weigh on us all. In my opinion, it is right to let him play in America because it is also thanks to him that the tournaments are even more beautiful."
If Djokovic ends up missing the event, it will be the 2nd time he has done so in the last couple of years .
