🐶 🗣️ I think is my dog actually. Casper’s dog knows when to make an entrance😂
Casper Ruud may have lost in the final of the Bastad Open to Andrey Rublev, but in many ways, he stole the show.
A dog started barking during his service motion weirdly and he sent the crowd into stitches saying: "I think it's my dog actually".
Albeit with a semi serious tone that it was actually his dog. They were interrupted for a moment before they continued.
But in the end Rublev won. He gave credit to Ruud post match.
"It is always great to win a title. At the end of the day, we have to lose almost every week, so this is one of two titles this year," said Rublev.
"It is a special feeling and the final was played in tough conditions, but I was lucky to have them. Casper hits with spin a lot, to play high and with this weather the ball did not really jump high and I think it helped me a bit. On top of that I played really well today."
But not only did the dog moment steal the show, the award ceremony was almost like a comedy sketch with Ruud being handed a million items and still attempting to clap while doing so.
A final to remember for the funniest of reasons. Watch the video below.
