Roger Federer parted ways with Nike in 2018 but the image rights to his iconic RF logo remained with them so now, two years on, they are back with Federer.

Roger Federer left Nike in 2018 to join Uniqlo, however, the rights to his iconic RF logo remained with the American company. That meant that the swiss ace couldn't use the logo on his new kit and shoes. He needed to start a process to reclaim it which he did. On the situation he commented:
"The RF logo is with Nike at the moment, but it will come to me at some point. I hope rather sooner than later, that Nike can be nice and helpful in the process to bring it over to me. It’s also something that was very important for me, for the fans really."
He further elaborated: "Look, it’s the process. But the good news is that it will come with me at one point. They are my initials. They are mine. The good thing is it’s not theirs forever."
And now two years later it's finally back. The logo appeared on his website officially. He hasn't commented yet on the situation as he is taking time away to recover from his knee surgery he underwent last month. He won't return to tennis until the grass season.
