Carlos Alcaraz has revealed the status of his Wimbledon tattoo one month after the world No. 1 claimed his first title at the All England Club.
World No. 1 Alcaraz shocked the tennis world in July when he defeated seven-time SW19 champion Novak Djokovic in the Wimbledon final. This was the 20-year-old's second Grand Slam title after he won the US Open last year.
After his win in New York, where he defeated fifth seed Casper Ruud in the final, Alcaraz tattooed the date of his victory onto his arm. Therefore, ever since his win at Wimbledon, fans have been speculating that he will also get a celebratory tattoo for his second Slam title.

Alcaraz reveals what Wimbledon tattoo would look like

In an interview with his racket sponsor Babolat, Alcaraz was asked for an update on his tattoo and whether or not he had got it yet.
"Not yet, but I'm going to get one. Yeah," he replied. He was then asked if his arm would be long enough for all his titles, to which he said, "Hopefully not!"
The two-time major champion also revealed that his Wimbledon tattoo could be a strawberry, a key symbol of the tournament. In fact, 2023 women's singles champion Marketa Vondrousova told reporters that she and her sister got strawberry tattoos after her victory at the grasscourt major.
"I don't know, I have to think about it! But a strawberry may not look bad. A strawberry can't look bad!" Alcaraz said.

Alcaraz reveals how he celebrated his win

In the interview, Alcaraz was also asked how he celebrated his win immediately after Wimbledon.
"I spent time with family and friends at home. I would say that's the best thing to do after our victory," he said.
He was then questioned about whether or not he partied after the tournament, to which he replied that he did. The interviewer then joked that he couldn't party in the US because drinking laws prohibit anyone under the age of 21 from consuming alcohol, compared to anyone under 18 in most European countries.
"Well... That's why I went to Spain," he joked back, laughing along with the interviewer.
