The draw has been confirmed ahead of the WTA
Hamburg European Open which is set to take place over the next week between 6-11 July.
Shifting from the grass court swing to red clay, this tournament will provide one of multiple opportunities for players to start the road to the Tokyo Olympics and US Open.
Paula Badosa was due to be top seed in this tournament but due to still being involved up to Monday in Wimbledon, the top seed will be the returning
Dayana Yastremska.
She returns after being cleared of a doping ban and will face either Magdalena Frech or a qualifier/lucky loser.
Second seed is
Yulia Putintseva who takes on either Anna-Lena Friedsam or Andrea Petkovic.
Third seed is
Tamara Zidansek who faces either Irina Bara or Kristyna Pliskova. Other players involved include Fiona Ferro who faces Sara Errani,
Danielle Collins who faces either Mona Barthel or a qualifier/lucky loser.
