Elena Rybakina reposts PTPA WTA Finals building site photo with simple but damning verdict

Ahead of the WTA Finals gala this evening, players have started to speak up amid the issues ongoing with the stadium in Cancun not being built and Elena Rybakina is the latest albeit with a simple but cryptic message.

The PTPA posted a picture of the building site on their social media, with some damning shows of how far away they are from being complete with only days until the tournament begins.

Rybakina who is usually fairly outspoken albeit mostly on scheduling issues reposted the image and simply put ... under it. Marketa Vondrousova was another who did it in a less subtle way.

She posted a picture of the WTA Finals line-up as construction workers, which was dubbed as post of the year. Aryna Sabalenka also vented her frustration, with players set to train on hotel courts until a day before the tournament.

With the draw set to be released on Friday evening, it is still very much doubts about whether it will take place at all with a crowd.
