Polish tennis star Iga Swiatek finally accomplished her dream of winning the Warsaw Open in front of her home crowd, but the World No.1 is unsure of whether she'll return to defend her title next year.
In an interview with Przegląd Sportowy Onet, Swiatek revealed it was difficult to play in front of her home fans due to having high expectations of herself. Nonetheless, the hometown hero breezed through the tournament, lifting her fourth title of the season without dropping a set.

Olympic Games may hinder Swiatek's participation next year

The 22-year old was asked if she'd be returning next season to defend her title, to which she responded by stating her priority would be to focus on the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
"To be honest, we haven't really thought about it at all," she admitted. "Obviously, the Olympics will be a priority. I don't think it would be wise not to prioritize it, so we'll see.
"I really want to play as much as possible in front of the Polish audience. Sometimes this is not possible due to the calendar. Next year with the Olympics even more so. I just planned the end of the season with the coach, so I don't know."
