Osaka through in walkover at 2021 US Open after Danilovic withdrawal

Naomi Osaka was due to play in the first match of the day session at the 2021 US Open but will move through to the third round after a walkover before the match began.

Osaka who saw off Marie Bouzkova in her opener 6-4, 6-1 was due to face Olga Danilovic who saw off American wildcard, Alycia Parks but due to a medical reason, the World No.2 will now move into the third round.

The winner of Leylah Fernandez and Kaia Kanepi will now await in the third round instead.
