Emma Raducanu - The rush hour saga of a tennis star at the US Open

Britain’s young tennis star Emma Raducanu has reportedly apologised to fans at the US Open after leaving the court without meeting them.
The fourth and final Grand Slam of the year is set to begin in less than a weeks’
time where players from all over the world are participating to showcase their talent
at the highest level and secure the ultimate prize.
Raducanu, who will be one of the star attractions in the
mega-event, left the court in a hurry and failed to meet a young girl who expressed
her admiration for the former world number 10. She later took to social media and
not only apologised for not meeting the youngster but also expressed a desire to
meet her in the near future.
"To the little girl far up in the stands who said I was
her favourite player at this mornings practice, I heard you and it made my
heart smile,” she wrote. "I'm very sorry I had to rush off after practice
but please forgive me and I hope to find a way to meet you or arrange a signed
something or photo."
Raducanu broke onto the scene in 2021 when she lifted the US Open title at just 18. The most impressive aspect of that
triumph was the fact that she started the competition through the qualifying
round but still lifted the title after beating Canada’s Leylah
Fernandez in straight sets with a score of 6-4, 6-3.
Raducanu’s most recent appearance came in the Cincinnati
Open, where she was knocked out after losing in the quarterfinal to Spain’s
Paula Badosa with a score of 4-6, 7-5, 6-4. Her first-round opponent at the
mega-event will be the former Australian Open champion America’s Sofia Kenin.
It will be the first-ever meeting between the two at the highest level.

Such decisions made through PURE GREED disguised as "offering more up & coming players a chance to compete". This sport is, at the very foundation, a Business. Any corporate entity should know by now that introducing too many 'franchises' to a limited market is counterproductive to say the very least? And let us not forget the Top Athletes cannot be everywhere week-to-week no matter how much money the tourneys throw at them.
