The Wimbledon 2026 women’s singles tournament has reached the semifinal stage, with four players remaining in contention for the title at the All England Club. The final four features two intriguing matchups: Coco Gauff faces Karolina Muchova in a rematch between two Grand Slam contenders, while Marta Kostyuk takes on Linda Noskova in a battle between two players seeking their first major final.
Gauff arrives after reaching her first Wimbledon semifinal, while Muchova enters after a strong grass-court swing that included the Bad Homburg title. On the other side of the draw, Kostyuk continues the best season of her career after reaching her second consecutive Grand Slam semifinal, while Noskova has produced the biggest run of her young career at just 21 years old.

Coco Gauff vs Karolina Muchova

Gauff finally breaks through at Wimbledon

Coco Gauff entered Wimbledon 2026 already established as one of the leading players in women’s tennis, but the All England Club remained the one major where she had been unable to produce a deep run. The American had already won the US Open in 2023 and Roland Garros in 2025, but Wimbledon had remained unfinished business after never advancing beyond the fourth round.
More than a year after lifting the trophy in Paris, Gauff had still not returned to a Grand Slam semifinal before breaking through in London. Her run has required resilience, with the American overcoming difficult challenges from Belinda Bencic and Jessica Pegula in consecutive three-set victories.
Gauff defeated Tamara Korpatsch and Solana Sierra earlier in the tournament before recovering from a slow start against Bencic and Pegula. The 22-year-old now has the opportunity to reach her first Wimbledon final and complete another important milestone in her Grand Slam career.

Karolina Muchova brings momentum into first Wimbledon semifinal

Karolina Muchova arrives at Wimbledon’s final four with one of the strongest momentum stories in the tournament. The Czech player won the Bad Homburg title before the Championships and has continued that form by reaching her first-ever Wimbledon semifinal.
The 2026 season has already been a successful one for Muchova, who also won the Qatar Open. Her latest run adds another major achievement to a career that includes a Roland Garros final appearance in 2023, when she pushed Iga Swiatek before falling to the eventual champion.
Muchova reached the semifinals after defeating Barbora Krejcikova in a three-set battle and overcoming Naomi Osaka in straight sets. She now looks to reach her second Grand Slam final while attempting to repeat her recent success against Gauff.

Karolina Muchova reached the fifth Grand Slam semifinal of her career. She has now reached at least the semifinals at all four majors, but has advanced to the final only once, at Roland Garros in 2023.

Head-to-head: Gauff leads Muchova 6-1, but Czech has found a solution

Gauff has dominated the rivalry against Muchova, winning six of their seven previous meetings. Their clashes have included some of the biggest matches of their careers, including Gauff’s victories in the 2023 US Open semifinal and WTA 1000 finals in Cincinnati and Beijing.
However, Muchova changed the dynamic in their most recent encounter, defeating Gauff at the Stuttgart Open earlier in 2026. That victory ended the American’s perfect start in the matchup and showed Muchova can challenge Gauff’s defensive strength with her variety and creativity.

Marta Kostyuk vs Linda Noskova

Kostyuk continues stunning 2026 breakthrough

Marta Kostyuk has transformed 2026 into the best season of her career, and Wimbledon has become another chapter in a remarkable rise. The Ukrainian won titles at the Open de Rouen and Madrid Open before reaching the Roland Garros semifinals, completing a run of 16 consecutive victories.
After missing the period between Roland Garros and Wimbledon due to injury, Kostyuk returned immediately to top form. She has now reached her second consecutive Grand Slam semifinal after previously never making it beyond the quarterfinal stage at a major.
Her Wimbledon run has extended one of the best stretches on tour. Kostyuk defeated Jasmine Paolini in the quarterfinals and enters the semifinal against Noskova with a 21-1 record in her last 22 matches, looking to reach her first Grand Slam final.

Noskova announces herself with Wimbledon breakthrough

Linda Noskova has been the breakout story of Wimbledon 2026. The Czech player, only 21 years old, has reached her first Grand Slam semifinal after previously making the quarterfinals at the 2024 Australian Open as a teenager.
Noskova arrived at the All England Club with confidence after winning the Berlin grass-court title, although she suffered an early exit in Bad Homburg before Wimbledon. She has rediscovered her best level in London, producing her biggest major run to date.
The Czech defeated Madison Keys and Elise Mertens on her way to the semifinals, showing the aggressive baseline game that has made her one of the most promising young players on tour. A victory over Kostyuk would send Noskova into her first Grand Slam final.

Head-to-head: Kostyuk and Noskova battle for first Grand Slam final

Marta Kostyuk and Linda Noskova will meet for the first time with a place in the Wimbledon final at stake. Both players are competing in their first semifinal at the All England Club, creating a rare opportunity for a new Grand Slam finalist.
The stakes extend beyond a place in the championship match, with both players also fighting to leave Wimbledon inside the Top 10 of the WTA rankings. Noskova reached that milestone for the first time a few weeks ago and currently sits at No. 11 in the live rankings, just behind Kostyuk, who is projected at No. 10. The winner of this semifinal will gain more than 500 ranking points and rise to No. 8, while the defeated player is projected to finish the tournament at No. 11.
Kostyuk enters the matchup with greater momentum after an outstanding 2026 season that includes two titles and consecutive Grand Slam semifinals, while Noskova brings the confidence of a career-defining breakthrough run. The semifinal will feature Kostyuk’s physical intensity and defensive skills against Noskova’s aggressive baseline game and ability to dictate play.
