Karolina Muchova has not played since reaching the French Open final preferring to play the guitar and sing to Maroon 5 than tread the grass of Berlin, Bad Homburg or Eastbourne.
But Eurosport pundit, Barbara Schett believes that Muchova could yet join the big names in Iga Swiatek, Elena Rybakina and Aryna Sabalenka in having top Wimbledon chances.
She believes that the game is very much there to trouble the big names and that she has had good results at Wimbledon in the past so there is no reason, it cannot happen again.
After reaching the French Open final, she also sits as World No.16 and previously has two Quarter-Final appearances at SW19 to her name.
“She is so talented. We saw it at the French Open when she reached the final. She comes to the net, she's got a big serve, she slices, she uses drop shots. And in the past she's already had good results in Wimbledon.
“So we'll see how she's digested that success from the French Open as well and how her approach is; if she doesn't feel overwhelmed and pressured that she has to play well at Wimbledon.
“But she certainly has the game for a grass court, that's for sure.”
But also Petra Kvitova who recently won the Bett1 Open title in Berlin, there is also Wimbledon hope with of course being a former winner and adapted to the surface well.
Only question marks being for Schett surround her current fitness and injury troubles which plagued her after Miami.
“She has no spin, so flat, she's a lefty. She's got a great serve and is very, very uncomfortable opponent.
“If she can stay fit and focused for the course of two weeks, I think she has a chance.”
