The WTA have finally released their calendar for the second half of the 2023 season following Daria Kasatkina being vocally critical about no dates being confirmed for the coming months post-Wimbledon.
They will officially return to Beijing with a WTA 1000 tournament taking place there as well as Guadalajara being confirmed.
WTA 500 tournaments will take place in San Diego, Tokyo and Zhengzhou in September and October.
WTA 250 tournaments are to be held in saka, Guangzhou, Ningbo, Hong Kong, Seoul, Nanchang and Monastir as well as further expansion of WTA 125 tournaments with December seeing these taking place.
In particular these have offered a lifeline to players also returning to the tour with Elina Svitolina and Eugenie Bouchard both utilising them in recent months.
This calendar now comprises all tournaments following the
US Open through to the
WTA Finals at the end of the year.
