It is Last 16 time at the Madrid Open with Monday seeing a stacked day of action at the Caja Magica as the Quarter-Finals in the main will be confirmed with Rafael Nadal, Iga Swiatek, Elena Rybakina, Coco Gauff as well as Danielle Collins - Iga Sabalenka among the leading attractions.
Our preview as ever looks ahead to another day of action in Madrid on all courts with both ATP and WTA having standout ties and storylines to look out for.

Nadal, Collins-Sabalenka set for Manolo Santana

The main stadium will begin with Jelena Ostapenko who takes on Ons Jabeur. From a player who started the year with superb form but then nose dived to one in Jabeur who has been poor for a long time but suddenly found form again, it is an interesting proposition to begin the day. Especially with Jabeur's near flawless Madrid record. Then it is Iga Swiatek who has a perfect Head to Head record of 3-0 against Sara Sorribes Tormo so an easy victory is likely expected. But can SST be buoyed by the crowd being likely on her side.
Rafael Nadal will certainly have the fans on his side as the Spanish king takes on Pedro Cachin. After his win over Alex de Minaur, he had plenty of tennis fan purring about his potential few matches and of course Roland Garros. But having an easier run means backing it up now will be the next part. The night session is perhaps even better for one match in particular as Danielle Collins will face Aryna Sabalenka. Expect power play, wild celebrations and some classic Collins reactions. A real top Last 16 clash in the WTA. This is flanked by Jannik Sinner aiming to continue his superb form by facing Pavel Kotov.
Over on Arantxa Sanchez, it is similarly stacked with the battle of the entertainers opening it up as Alexander Bublik faces Ben Shelton. Daniil Medvedev who has floated slightly under the radar on his disliked surface playing Sebastian Korda. Coco Gauff has an all American battle with Madison Keys, while for Elena Rybakina it is Sara Bejlek. Karen Khachanov ends it off against Flavio Cobolli.
Cameron Norrie v Casper Ruud and birthday girl Mirra Andreeva facing Jasmine Paolini are among the other highlights elsewhere. No time to breathe on Manic Monday.
