Everything is ready for the 4th edition of the
Dallas Open, which for the second consecutive year will be an ATP 500 – after being upgraded from ATP 250 status in 2025. On this occasion, the tournament – which is the only indoor hardcourt in the USA – will attract an interesting draw to be played between February 3 and 9 at the Ford Center at The Star in the city of Frisco, United States.
The tournament will feature 5 players inside the top-20 and up to 9 inside the top-30, led by the favorites among the local stars:
Taylor Fritz (No. 6) and
Ben Shelton (No. 9), the only top-10 players included in the draw.
However, the defending champion is Denis Shapovalov, who in 2025
won the most important title of his career – his first ATP 500 – defeating Casper Ruud in the final. Both players will be back in the draw in the North American country, as part of their preparation for the Sunshine Double in March.
Although the Americans occupy most of the draw, there are several Europeans looking to gain confidence with a tournament in the USA during this February. Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina and Italian Flavio Cobolli will be other standout names in the draw and among the main candidates to claim the title, challenging the aspirations of the locals.
The tournament is the main focus for the Americans, who will have their 10 highest-ranked players included in the draw, among them names like Reilly Opelka, Tommy Paul, Brandon Nakashima and Frances Tiafoe.
There will also be space for some of the more experienced players on the tour. Former world No. 3 Grigor Dimitrov (No. 42) will join the draw, as well as former US Open champion Marin Cilic and the veteran Frenchman, former top-20 Adrian Mannarino.
With the upgraded status to ATP 500, the
prize money has also risen considerably, and this year a record $529,945 will be awarded to the tournament champion, along with 500 points, while the runner-up will receive $285,095 plus 330 points for the Dallas campaign.
Players eliminated in the semifinals take 200 points for the ATP ranking and $151,935 in
prize money, while the quarterfinalists pocket $77,625 and 100 points for the ATP ranking.
Players reaching the Round of 16 receive $41,435 and 50 points toward the ATP ranking, while those eliminated in the first round leave without ATP points, although with a prize of $22,096 for reaching the main draw.
