Both players due to their seedings will receive byes through the draw to the next round at the Chile Open. Garin will take on either Andrej Martin or Spanish prospect Alejandro Davidovich Fokina.
Ruud on the other hand will either take on Italian ace Paolo Lorenzi or local wildcard Alejandro Tabilo. He comes off winning form after winning the Argentina Open earlier this month so will be one of the favourites to add to his tally.
Also involved include the likes of Albert Ramos-Vinolas, Pablo Cuevas and Juan Ignacio Londero who will all continue in the South American swing.
In terms of Prize Money and Points, the winner will receive $101,285 with 250 points up for grabs. The runner-up will get $56,065 with 150 points. This goes all the way down to the second round with points going to 20. First round losers receive no points but $6,030 for losing out.
