The resurgence of
Stefanos Tsitsipas continues to take place as the Greek has booked his spot in the last eight of the
Paris Masters and also will play at the ATP Finals in Turin.
Tsitsipas powered past
Alexander Zverev 7-6(2), 6-4 and the German said at the net that he hoped to see him in Turin. On Thursday afternoon in Paris, he struck 37 winners including 10 aces in what is his 50th tour level win of the season and will now play at the ATP Finals.
He now improves to 9-4 in his head to head against Zverev and will face Karen Khachanov next up in Paris after the Russian who has spent most of the season battling with injury trouble saw off his compatriot, Roman Safiullin 4-6, 6-4, 6-2.
For the Greek, he hits multiple milestones reaching at least the Quarter-Finals in all nine of the Masters tournaments.
He also qualifies for the ATP Finals for a fifth consecutive year, while Zverev faces an uphill battle due to the fact that he is the only one still remaining in the hunt that lost early in Paris.
Holger Rune, Hubert Hurkacz, Alex de Minaur and Karen Khachanov are also still in contention in Paris this week to take the final spots in Turin.
