The Laver Cup tends to feature some of the most exciting tennis of the season, and this year will be no different as Daniil Medvedev has been announced as a member of Team Europe.
The World No.2 will be making his debut at the annual event, which will be held in Boston this year from September 24-26. Team Europe (captained by Bjorn Borg) are the defending champions, and will hope to defend the title against Team World (captained by John McEnroe).
“I’m really excited to be representing Team Europe in the Laver Cup this year,” Medvedev said.

Medvedev will be joined by World No.3 Stefanos Tsitsipas, Tokyo Olympics gold medalist Alexander Zverev, Andrey Rublev and Casper Ruud. In light of Roger Federer and Dominic Thiem's withdrawals, Wimbledon finalist Matteo Berrettini will be joining the team.
“I’m really disappointed to be missing this year’s Laver Cup,” Federer said. “Team Europe has an incredible line-up though and I wish them all the very best as they go for their fourth Laver Cup win.”
Team Europe's line-up features six of the world's top 11 players, with Team Europe having won all three previous editions of the Laver Cup.
