"Nothing is linear in this life": Rafael Nadal to consider tennis future after Olympic Games with latest setback

Rafael Nadal is a doubt to even play at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games with physical issues manifesting themselves this past week with a right thigh issue in particular blighting him and seeing him debate whether to withdraw from the singles at the main event.
In that case, he would just focus on the doubles. but for Nadal it would also see him consider his tennis future he admits, as he dropped a hint that he will consider what is next after after the Olympic Games.
But one thing is for certain, he will play Laver Cup with Nadal confirming so. He is also signed up for the six Kings Slam in Saudi Arabia at teh end of the year. This in itself threw hot water over the perception that he would retire after the last foray to Roland Garros.
He is due to face Novak Djokovic in the second round if he gets past Marton Fucsovics. While his doubles route alongside Carlos Alcaraz likely gleams a better chance of a medal. He is now considering whether he plays with coach Carlos Moya admitting there is a chance that he doesn't. A big 24 hours in camp Nadal awaits and also it seems post tournament.
"Nothing is linear in this life. There are moments and states, which normally go hand in hand with physical states. I try to enjoy and live what I feel at each moment, always with a positive vision of what my day to day is within my possibilities," Nadal told Onda Cero.
"After here I am going to take some time to think carefully about what I need for myself as a person, what I really want to do. I will play the Laver Cup," Nadal added.
