Jannik Sinner has eased through to the second round at Roland Garros seeing off No.11 seed and former Quarter-Finalist David Goffin 7-5, 6-0, 6-3 in the end.
Sinner saw off Goffin in just under two hours in a terrific display from the 19-year-old who has established himself as one of the best rising talents in the game.
He also showed his form on clay in Rome by seeing off Stefanos Tsitsipas in a crushing win with the latter now currently in the final in Hamburg.
The Italian was first up on Phillipe Chatrier becoming one of the only matches so far not to be affected by the conditions and took to it well.
Opening set saw it locked at 5-5 between the duo with Sinner getting through 7-5 but from there he began to produce some magnificent tennis going 6-0, 3-0 up from there with 11 games won at one point.
He went on to claim that final set 6-3 and with an interesting complexion of Rafael Nadal potentially in the Quarter-Finals, the future vs present of tennis could face off.
Sebastian Korda, son of Petr Korda is also through after seeing off the vastly experienced Andreas Seppi, 6-2, 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 in nearly 2 and a half hours.
But for another top prospect in Finland's Emil Ruusuvuori, he is out after losing out 3-1 to Benjamin Bonzi 6-2, 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 as the early results filter in from Paris.
