Touted as one of the most talented players in recent times,
Nick Kyrgios announced his presence on the ATP Tour after defeating
Roger Federer in their first encounter at the 2015
Madrid Open.
After a splendid performance at that year's Australian Open, where he became the first teenage male to reach a second Grand Slam quarterfinal after Federer in 2001, Kyrgios was set to face his idol in the second round.
With the crowd behind the Swiss Maestro, who was the top seed and ranked World No.2, Kyrgios pulled off the biggest win of his career as he defeated Federer 6-7(2) 7-6(5) 7-6(12), saving two match points in the final set tiebreak.
The Aussie stunned the tennis world with his shot-selection and composure under pressure, and has since proven that he is always a threat when facing any of the top-ranked players.
